Our world as we knew it a few months ago has clearly changed. Many of us have had to adapt quickly to the changing environment and have had to upscale our ways of working. At EACS, we have also had to rethink our way of delivering our core activities, particularly in terms of the provision of courses and support for early-career physicians, allowing opportunities for them to continue to increase their knowledge of HIV and its management.
In 2020, therefore, the EACS Educational and Training working group decided to replace the usual EACS Summer School with an interactive live online course where the faculty took the time to share and discuss an update on HIV and the impact of COVID-19, and the situation we find ourselves in, on this. We aimed to retain the interactive atmosphere of the EACS Summer School through the use of live panel discussions and Q&A chat sessions.
The course was delivered by an experienced faculty of key opinion leaders in the fields of HIV clinical care and research. The name of the course was:
Interactive sessions with HIV updates and lessons learned from the pandemic
Synopses - Lessons learned from COVID-19
